Noah's 1st Day of School

Noah started school on July 25th. We made his first day of school a family event by having all of us take him to see his classroom for the first time. The first thing we did was show Noah where his classroom was and his teacher, Mrs. S. had him find where he was going to sit and where he needed to keep his backpack. Noah was so thrilled when he found his seat and saw that his best friend, Leif, was going to be sitting next to him! After putting his things away, Noah had a chance to play on the playground for a bit before school began. I am happy to announce that no tears were shed (by me or by Noah). Noah was so excited and happy to begin Kindergarten and his enthusiasm helped me to not feel so anxious.

When we dropped Noah off at school and watched him walk into his classroom, Porter then asked, "Where's my classroom?" He was ready to leave me too :( He has fun while Noah is at school, but is always ready to have him home again once school is over.

 

When we picked Noah up from school, Mrs. S. said that Noah told her he had had the best day ever, I was so pleased to hear that. Noah has been loving going to school and learning. He comes home ready to tell me all about his day. He is growing up so much.
